Shipwrecked, Shanghai’d, Marooned! (A Workshop), 2011

Mare Liberum hosted a multi-day workshop to build kayaks from locally-harvested bamboo, zipties, and canvas (aka Shipwrecked, Shanghai’d, Marooned!), which led to so much awesomeness. The boats were test-launched the following Saturday at Marina59 in the Rockaways, as part of the exhibition SeaWorthy [link expired].
